Separate Amazon’s announced US-seller Claude beta and Quick promotion from independently authorized analysis; compare task, source, and action permissions.
Do not confuse the names or the subscription
Amazon Seller Assistant is Amazon's own selling-partner assistant. Amazon's announced Selling Partner plugin is a route for supported agents in Quick and, in beta, Claude to use Seller Assistant reasoning, recommendations, and permitted actions. Seller Assistant App is an unrelated third-party product; its browser extension or account login is not Amazon's plugin. Independent Claude analysis of an authorized CSV is a fourth arrangement, not a hidden mode of Seller Assistant. A comparison that merges these names will get access and data handling wrong from the first line.
The 1stPage route starts at its Connect MCP page: add its remote server in a supported Claude client, complete 1stPage OAuth, then inspect list_accounts and request data for one account. Amazon’s Selling Partner plugin has its own eligibility and action-approval rules. Compare what each permitted path returns for a named report; neither a 1stPage sign-in nor an Amazon beta announcement guarantees every Seller Central dataset.
Amazon describes Seller Assistant as using Claude models through Amazon Bedrock while seller data stays within Amazon infrastructure for that implementation. That statement does not mean a standalone Claude chat can read Seller Central. The announcement also describes a 12-month Amazon Quick Plus promotion for eligible primary account holders through December 31, 2026, with coworkers addressed in its terms. Quick Plus is not a free Claude subscription. Do not pitch the offer as a way around Claude pricing or treat promotional eligibility as plugin access for every seller.
Ask which inventory number each route used
An inventory question makes the comparison concrete. Amazon says its plugin can connect listing contributions, performance metrics, inventory levels, and sales analytics to supported agents, with recommendations and actions subject to human approval and audit trails. Those are announcement claims. We have not tested an eligible beta account here, so we cannot say which inventory field appears, how current it is, or which restock-related action the account can approve. Check those details in the actual account before writing a setup guide or declaring a winner.
An independent CSV route is only as current as its export. Record its timestamp, store, SKU or ASIN scope, inbound assumptions, and what 'available' means. It can compare that snapshot with a separately approved planning file, but it cannot take a seller action merely because Claude suggests one. A recurring application using the Selling Partner API needs the appropriate app approval, roles, and seller authorization. An Ads question has a separate access route. Anthropic's MCP connector documentation describes a tool connection method, not automatic Amazon permission.
A fluent answer is not a Brand Analytics report
Use the same bounded question for both paths: 'For this ASIN, what was its purchase share on this query in the specified SQP period?' Require the literal query, ASIN, store, period, source field, and denominator. Amazon has not promised in the September announcement that every eligible beta seller can request every Brand Analytics report inside Claude. An independent workflow cannot claim SQP access merely because it uses an SP-API connector either. If either route lacks the authorized report, it should say so rather than infer the percentage from a sales summary.
The same rule applies to AMC or vendor data. A general claim about connected seller metrics is not a commitment to those separate datasets. An export can answer a narrower, honest question if it carries the required rows and provenance. A tool may combine organization-approved files under its own controls, but that design is not evidence that it has broader Amazon coverage than the native plugin. No 1stPage feature or live connection is asserted here; the comparison concerns the access paths and their proof requirements.
Date the comparison and leave actions visible
For an eligible US-store seller, a fair pilot uses one non-sensitive question and a source number the account owner can inspect. Note beta availability, account role, store, data scope, freshness, cited report, arithmetic, retention terms, and any action approval step for each permitted path. Never paste credentials or customer-identifying exports into a chat to make the test work. If the answer cannot identify its source, mark that question unanswered. Do not manufacture a hands-on result from Amazon's announcement.
Match the route to the task. For an eligible seller action, check what Amazon’s plugin actually offers and which approval it requires. For a cross-file accounting question, use an authorized 1stPage tool result alongside the approved accounting file, with both sources named. Amazon may expand the beta and change supported operations; only an account test can show what one seller actually sees. A comparison without that test is a list of access boundaries, not a product verdict.
Sources and boundaries
Check the current permissions and report definitions before acting on an answer. Example prompts are questions, not live account results.
